Beginning in September 2026, Juvenile Probation staff may create their own CACWT accounts directly. Account creation no longer happens through Cal Academies.

Account management and account assistance are provided by the CACWT support team and the LMS Administrator from the Chief Probation Officers of California Foundation (CPOCF).

Support for CPOCF-provided courses is managed by the CPOCF LMS Administrator. You can find direct links to contact the LMS Administrator from the CPOCF provided CACWT Learner User Guide, to be posted here come September.

The learners’ assigned Cal Academy manages support for all other trainings.

CPOCF's first foster care-related training course to be offered through CACWT will be the Juvenile Probation Placement Core.

Enrollment for the Winter Placement Core session will open in CACWT in September 2026.

After enrolling, participants will gain access to the self-paced prerequisite course for Module 1 of Placement Core in December 2026, followed by the curriculum for the in-person training, which begins in January 2027.

CPOCF will be working to transition other foster care-related trainings to CACWT; however, all other CPOC probation foster care trainings should still be accessed via CPOCF’s On Demand platform.

August 2026

• CPOC releases the self-paced prerequisite course for Module 1 of Juvenile Probation Placement Core.

• Curriculum materials for the remaining in-person Placement Core modules becomes available.
