Community Based Organizations
Due to the anticipated increase of learners needing to access CANS, CFT, and FFPS training provided by the Regional Training Academies (RTAs), functionality was developed to allow for self-account creation. This functionality will be available to county-vetted Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and other providers.
Guidance for Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (LA DCFS) employees and CBOs is forthcoming.
For CBOs and other providers to use the self-account creation function, learners must have an approved email domain. County child welfare and county probation agencies can submit a list of approved organizations and the organization’s email domain by using the Community Based Organization Vetted Domains form. The form ensures counties verify which partners provide services related to CANS, CFTs, and FFPS. Instructions for self-account creation are detailed support.cacwt.org. Participants can verify their agency domain has been approved by using the CBO Access List.
CBOs, providers, and other partners without an approved email domain must contact the County Child Welfare Training Coordinator or other county contact. The CACWT county administrator will be responsible for ensuring account creation.
When to submit a ticket to support.cacwt.org:
If you're having trouble creating an account.
Participants using the self-account creation feature will have their accounts archived after 90 days of inactivity and will need to request reactivation.
After authenticating into CACWT, you experience difficulty enrolling in training.
Use the button above if you are part of a CBO that has an approved domain in CACWT
NOTE: These policies and procedures are currently being developed with stakeholder input. Official guidance will be provided in a forthcoming ACIN. Please review the CACWT KB to answer FAQs. If you are County staff and have questions regarding approving CBOs submit an email to support@cacwt.org with the subject line "CACWT CBO Assistance."
County juvenile probation staff and county mental/behavioral health staff can contact their county training coordinators to establish CACWT accounts. California Tribal Social Workers, Tribal organizations, and Tribal partners should contact the RTA they share geography with to create CACWT accounts before registering for training provided by the RTA.
