About

Project Summary

Purpose: The California Child Welfare Training system is a centralized online platform designed to deliver all state-mandated child welfare worker training in California. This system, overseen by the California Department of Social Services' Child Welfare Learning and Evaluation Bureau - Child Welfare Workforce Units (CWWU), streamlines training for child welfare social workers, supervisors, and placement probation officers across the state.

Who Has Access: All county social workers in California have access to the CACWT platform. This system offers a one-stop shop for mandated training, allowing users to easily complete required courses, track progress, and access relevant resources. While there are limitations for how and when community partners can create individual accounts, they can still access training materials directly from the "Community Partners" tab. Plans include integrating additional service departments, such as CPOC, System of Care, and CCR.

How to Contribute: The CACWT system constantly evolves, and we welcome your input! If you have questions or suggestions on how to improve the platform, please contact us at CWSTrainingQuestions@dss.ca.gov. Your feedback is valuable in ensuring the CACWT continues to effectively meet the training needs of California's child welfare workforce.
