The California Child Welfare Training (CACWT) system is a vital component of the CalWISE Partnership, designed to centralize and optimize state-mandated child welfare training across California. The platform helps county social workers, supervisors, and placement probation officers complete required courses, track professional progress, and access critical resources.
An overall goal is to strengthen professional development across the state, providing a foundation that supports safety, permanency, and well-being for California’s children and families.
What This System Does

Oversight: Governed by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Child Welfare Learning and Evaluation Bureau – Child Welfare Workforce Development Section (CWWDS).
Operations & Technology: Serviced by Touchpoint Prodigy, a private technology firm specializing in information systems management and workforce development through innovative iPASS solutions. Touchpoint Prodigy focuses on streamlining processes and identifying collaborative project touchpoints through direct and integrated partner services.
