The California Child Welfare Training (CACWT) system is a vital component of the CalWISE Partnership, designed to centralize and optimize state-mandated child welfare training across California. The platform helps county social workers, supervisors, and placement probation officers complete required courses, track professional progress, and access critical resources.

An overall goal is to strengthen professional development across the state, providing a foundation that supports safety, permanency, and well-being for California’s children and families.

What This System Does

Streamlined Learning Management: Providing an accessible, centralized platform for training delivery, tracking, and resource allocation.
Strategic System Integration: Optimizing work process policies and integrating external platforms to deliver a consistent, high-impact curriculum experience.
Data-Driven Improvement: Actively soliciting and incorporating feedback from system participants and administrators to swiftly respond to the evolving needs of the workforce.

Who Has Access:

All county child welfare social workers in California have access to the CACWT platform. This system offers a one-stop shop for mandated training, allowing users to easily complete required courses, track progress, and access relevant resources.
Juvenile Probation Officers and Supervisors assigned to Title IV-E placement activities
Community-based Organizations providing FFPS services on behalf of counties
