Centralizing Training | Empowering Professionals | Protecting Communities
The California Child Welfare Training (CACWT) system is a vital component of the CalWISE Partnership, designed to centralize and optimize state-mandated child welfare training across California. Our online platform helps county social workers, supervisors, and placement probation officers complete required courses, track professional progress, and access critical resources.
Our Core Mission
Our goal is to strengthen professional development across the state, providing a foundation that supports safety, permanency, and well-being for California’s children and families.
What We Do
Streamlined Learning Management: Providing an accessible, centralized platform for training delivery, tracking, and resource allocation.
Strategic System Integration: Optimizing work process policies and integrating external platforms to deliver a consistent, high-impact curriculum experience.
Data-Driven Improvement: Actively soliciting and incorporating feedback from system participants and administrators to swiftly respond to the evolving needs of the workforce.
Governance & Partnership
The CACWT system operates under a collaborative model to ensure technological excellence and regulatory compliance:
Oversight: Governed by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Child Welfare Learning and Evaluation Bureau – Child Welfare Workforce Development Section (CWWDS).
Operations & Technology: Serviced by Touchpoint Prodigy, a private technology firm specializing in information systems management and workforce development through innovative iPASS solutions. Touchpoint Prodigy focuses on streamlining processes and identifying collaborative project touchpoints through direct and integrated partner services.
